Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 9, 2026

Moodloom ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to the Moodloom website, app, and browser extension.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: When you sign up, we receive from our authentication provider your email (or OAuth identifier), name, and profile image. You can set a display name and username on Moodloom.
  • Content you create: Looms (posts), Loomboards (collections), images you upload, titles, descriptions, tags, and links you add.
  • Saved content: When you use the Moodloom browser extension to save images from supported sites (e.g. Pinterest, Cosmos), we receive the image URLs and metadata (titles, source links) you choose to import to your account. We do not access your login credentials for those other sites.
  • Extension connection: If you connect the extension to Moodloom, you provide an email and a one-time access code (from Moodloom Settings). We use this only to link the extension to your account and to issue a token stored locally in the extension. We do not store your access code on our servers after verification.
  • Usage and preferences: We may collect how you use the service (e.g. pages visited, actions taken) and preferences (e.g. default privacy for new boards) to run and improve the product.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to: provide and operate Moodloom (including the website and extension); personalize your experience (e.g. feed, recommendations); process imports from the extension to your Loomboards; communicate with you about your account or the service; improve our product and security; and comply with law where required. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their marketing.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We share data only as needed to run the service: with our authentication provider for sign-in; with infrastructure providers that host or process data on our behalf (under strict confidentiality); and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own advertising or other unrelated purposes.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or specific content; we will remove or anonymize it in line with our systems and legal obligations. The extension stores a token and saved-item list locally until you import or clear it; we do not retain that list on our servers after a successful import beyond the normal processing of the imported images into your Loomboards.

5. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update profile and privacy settings in Moodloom Settings, revoke the extension's connection by signing out in the extension, and contact us for other requests or questions.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, for material changes, we may notify you via the service or email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

7. Contact
